Logo - Organon Organon - In October 2006, BCI entered into a discovery and development collaboration with Organon, the human health care business unit of Akzo Nobel. BCI will use its proprietary technology in the area of neurogenesis to identify neuroscience applications for compounds formerly in the Organon clinical-stage pipeline. When BCI determines the therapeutic utility for a drug candidate, the companies will work together to develop and reposition the drug for its new indication.

Logo - Organon Lundbeck - In March 2007, BCI announced a research collaboration with H. Lundbeck A/S (Lundbeck) in which BCI will use its proprietary neurogenesis-based technology to screen central nervous system (CNS) targets and compounds. In performing the screening, BCI will determine whether or not the targets or compounds promote neurogenesis.

Logo - Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Pharma Corp. - In August 2006, BCI in-licensed a clinical stage compound from Mitsubishi Pharma Corp. (MPC) that BCI will reposition and develop for the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) diseases, including mood disorders.

Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., LTD. - In September 2007, BCI in-licensed a novel, highly neurogenic CNS program from Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., LTD. including the lead compound which we have designated BCI-632. BCI will complete pre-clinical development of BCI-632 and advance it into clinical trials for the potential treatment of various CNS diseases, including mood disorders.
